From 1962, Bell Radio-Television Corporation made General radios under licence to the Japanese General Company.  Although very smart looking, they never really caught on, and so production wasn't for very long. I'm not sure whether this one one of them, or not, as it is quite different to any other Generals I have seen...

 Another one from the garage sale. A 5 valve dual wave superhet. Made probably in 1962. Carved into the rear edge of the top panel is "G  L  Nurses home.  2nd floor"  It was used by the Green Lane Hospital Nurses!!
